Sanford sent five wrestlers to Virginia Beach March 25-27, with two landing in the top eight
Sanford High School Wrestling wrapped up a historic season this past weekend after sending five wrestlers to the National High School Coaches Association Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach.
Junior James Blood finished as the runner-up in the 106-pound weight class, while freshman Canton Hill finished in eighth place, both earning All-American status. Sophomore Mason Van Geison and freshmen Luke Callis and James Chaplick also qualified and participated in the tournament, showing a promising future for the Spartans.

The Spartans have had tremendous success this season, winning the Dual State Championship and Head Coach Nate Smith being named SMAA Wrestling Coach of the Year.
