Fans are encouraged to wear blue to show support for “Frommie’s Fight” against cancer

Sanford seventh grader Chace Fromwiller will be the honorary captain for Sanford High School’s varsity football game on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
Fromwiller is currently fighting DIPG brain cancer, a brain tumor that is highly aggressive and difficult to treat. The community is encouraged to show their support for “Frommie’s Fight” by wearing blue to the game. A table near the concession stand will take donations for keychains and bracelets.
As honorary captain, Fromwiller will lead the team out of the tunnel and join the team for the coin toss.
Fromwiller is an avid sports fan and played football, baseball and basketball. He is the youngest sibling of SHS alums Gabby ’17, Carson ’19, and Leyton ’20 Bickford.
He has been traveling back and forth to Seattle for treatment. To support Chace and his family, you can contribute to the “Frommie’s Fight” GoFundMe Page.
